Rizvi is a product designer and entrepreneur with a simple belief: good design should make everyday life more useful, engaging and human.

He founded Playfull to bring that thinking into children’s spaces. His focus is not on making furniture that simply fills a room, but on creating purposeful activity products that invite children to climb, move, solve problems, imagine new worlds and grow in confidence at their own pace.

From a bold idea to a working product

Rizvi earned his Bachelor’s degree in Product Design from the National College of Arts (NCA). For his final-year thesis, developed in collaboration with Sazgar, he designed and built Voyager—a touring trike.

Voyager brought together mobility, ergonomics, functionality and visual design in one ambitious project. More importantly, it strengthened the approach that still guides his work today: begin with a real human need, understand how people will interact with the product, and carry the idea all the way from sketch to physical experience.

A career shaped by designing, building and teaching

After graduating, Rizvi founded Linestone Design Consultants, where he led a range of design projects and built a strong foundation in creative problem-solving and project leadership.

He also worked as a Product Designer at MECO, adding practical industry experience to his design background. Later, as a teacher in the Product Design Department at the University of Karachi, he helped students connect design theory with the realities of making products people can understand and use.

Those roles—designer, consultant, teacher and entrepreneur—now meet at Playfull.

Why Playfull

Children’s activity furniture sits at the meeting point of movement, imagination, safety, space and family life. That makes it a meaningful design challenge.

Rizvi established Playfull to create products that help make active, open-ended play easier to choose at home. Every idea is considered from two perspectives: how it feels to a curious child and how it works for the parent planning the room, supervising play and living with the product every day.
